About Me

Hello! I am Jami Lynn, Published Author, Mom, Paper Pusher, Canadian Forces Veteran, and so much more!  I love my family, close friends, and down to earth people.  I also love a good wine, amazing food, and time in the sun! Plus, I have developed a love for travel!

I got into writing a long time ago. I love to read and I have more books than I will ever need, and after I completed university (I was in my 40s), found a love of research and writing.  Most of the books I have read are varied in genre; romance, biography, fantasy, religion, non-fiction and more. I started off writing some fanfiction and a story here and there, dabbling in trying different combinations of words to evoke emotion, feeling, and wanting the reader to be completely immersed in the story.  My research papers were large and awesome!! (my opinion anyway)

I am a Mom to three kidlets; my two boys are now grown up and doing their own thing; one is married and the other has completed university and working in his chosen field, and my daughter is a teen who is exploring the world of self-expression through clothes and make-up.  My kids are my world, and I can be quite the pushover when it comes to them wanting something. (My middle child has that figured out in Aces!)

My amazing and much loved partner Rick is my biggest cheerleader! He keeps me sane, and helps me to see the lighter side of life.  He too is a Canadian Forces Veteran, having served almost 28 years service to Canada with PPCLI (Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry).  

Some of my favourite things I have gotten into recently is wine tasting.  I live in BC where there are some amazing vineyards.  Besides reading, I love music.  There isn't a specific genre, it all depends on the music, lyrics, tone and feel that will make it one of my favs.   

I love what I do, and I love what life has to offer.

Jami Lynn, born and raised in Edmonton, AB, Canada.  A status-Indigenous from treaty six, her community is Onion Lake Cree Nation, North of Lloydminster on the Alberta - Saskatchewan border.

After completing high school and working various jobs, she joined the Canadian Forces, into the Cadet Instructor List, part-time Reserves, teaching Canada's youth between the ages of 12-18 years old.  During her time, she met many individuals from all across Canada, and spent summers in Vernon, Ottawa, Red Deer, Edmonton and Calgary and retired in 2016 as a Captain.

When her youngest daughter was just ten days old, Jami Lynn began her studies at Mount Royal University in Calgary.  There she studied business and majored in human resources. 

Jami Lynn has extensive experience in administration, teaching, and has worked in her chosen field of HR.  Today, she is the Governance Executive for the Upper Nicola Band, located at Douglas Lake BC, commuting to and from Kamloops.

Jami Lynn has three children; two boys and one girl, and currently resides in Kamloops with her partner Rick. 

Jami Lynn loves to travel, Mexico, Phoenix, and especially on cruises. She absolutely loves Disney, and wine tastings in the Okanagan.
